Event Industry Leaders Lunch, Hoxton 2026

🤝 It was a pleasure to meet so many peers at the Industry Leaders Lunch at Motel Studios in Hoxton.

While January is often seen as a quiet month in our industry, for Bold Green Strategies | Sustainability Consultancy, it is quite the opposite; this is the time of year when teams finally have the breathing space to look at the bigger picture and consider their ESG goals and sustainability roadmaps for the year ahead.

A Meaningful Partnership
In many of my conversations, the business case for sustainability came up. It is no longer just about compliance; it is about how a business presents its values and position in a competitive market, particularly when navigating opportunities for new contracts, and maintaining current partnerships.

One thing we’ve noticed is that many teams are understandably overwhelmed by hands-off carbon tools. Equally, there is a fair amount of noise in the industry right now with various "certifications" and badges cropping up—some of which, frankly, offer very little substance.

We prefer a more human, hands-on approach.

We work as fractional sustainability leads, essentially acting as an extension of your own team for a few days a month. It’s a meaningful partnership where we provide the expertise and industry-leading insights to keep things moving, without adding a heavy administrative burden to your teams. It’s about making the process accurate, actionable, and—most importantly—manageable.

Supporting a Good Cause
The lunch was held in aid of The Akwaaba Foundation, the charity supported by Sam Gill and Dominique Gill of Venue Search London. It was a thoughtfully organised afternoon that raised vital funds for the foundation’s work in Ghana, made possible by the support of Kershaw Partners Limited, Sear Events Ltd, Yahire, Vibration Production, and Motel Studios.
