Carbon Literacy Training Day at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace.

We had an absolutely wonderful group of Unique Venues of London members join us for our latest Carbon Literacy Training Day.

Huge thanks to The British Academy team at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace for being such incredible hosts and looking after us so well.

What is Carbon Literacy?
It’s about understanding the carbon impacts of our daily activities and gaining the skills to reduce them. Our course is specifically designed to tackle the unique challenges faced by events and venue teams—from managing heritage buildings to the logistics of high-end catering—ensuring the content is relevant, relatable, and actionable for our industry.

It was inspiring to see professionals across Front of House, Operations, Commercial Venue Hire, Sales, and Event Planning engaging with such a crucial topic. We loved hearing the valuable insights and perspectives from this cohort.

This session included a brilliant mix of learners from The British Academy, Focus Productions, Jimmy Garcia Catering, Mansion House, and the Royal College of Physicians.

Feedback from the Day

“I recently completed the Carbon Literacy for Catering, Hospitality & Events Professionals training with Bold Green Strategies, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.

Nash and Anj delivered the course in an engaging, informative, and highly interactive way, making complex topics such as climate change, greenhouse gases, net zero, and carbon emissions easy to understand and apply in a professional context. The training was packed with practical examples and actionable insights that were directly relevant to the hospitality and events industry.

What stood out most was the positive and collaborative atmosphere. The discussions were thought-provoking, and there was plenty of opportunity to share ideas and learn from other participants. The course left me feeling both informed and empowered to make meaningful changes in my personal and professional life.

A huge thank you to Bold Green Strategies for delivering such a valuable programme. I would highly recommend this training to anyone working in catering, hospitality, or events who wants to better understand sustainability and take practical action towards a net-zero future.”

We're always so grateful for such lovely words.
