Social Pantry reaches new heights with its first exclusive venue contract.

We’re delighted to announce that Social Pantry has been named as the exclusive caterer at Tower Bridge. It was great to be part of the team on this one, and we're excited to support this iconic landmark with its own sustainability and social impact goals.

As Chris Earlie, director of Tower Bridge said in The Caterer:

"Social Pantry stood out to us as being far more than just a catering company. Their commitment and passion in being a force for good while maintaining the highest levels of quality was exactly what we were looking for in a partner. Social Pantry's values chime with our own commitment at Tower Bridge that puts sustainability at the heart of everything we do."

From 1st March 2024, Social Pantry will deliver its high impact yet socially and environmentally conscious events at London’s defining landmark, creating an unparalleled event and dining experience in London.

With three distinct areas available for private hire - the Walkways offer incredible panoramic views of the city, the majestic Victorian Engine Rooms houses the original machinery once used to lift the bridge, and The North Tower Lounge showcases stunning neo-gothic architecture - Social Pantry will work in tandem with the venue and clients to produce bespoke events and menus from canapés and cocktails, to innovative food and drink stations and lavish five-course dinners.

Founded by Alexandra Head in 2011, Social Pantry has evolved to become so much more than simply a catering company. From its commitment to employ more prison leavers year on year, to utilising zero-waste initiatives, and creating menus that focus around nose-to-tail and root-to-flower dishes, Social Pantry strives to deliver exceptional quality service and events at minimal social and environmental cost.

From the outset the business had social responsibility at its heart, with the founder employing her first prison leaver in 2015 and embarking on a journey that now sees 11% of positions held by individuals that have spent time in prison.

The business, which spans event and workplace catering, has also championed sustainable practices from the outset and applied for B Corp status at the end of last year. The process has seen Social Pantry work with sustainability consultant Nash Gierak of Bold Green Strategies, since 2021.
