Pillars Hospitality Roundtable at The Sloane Club.

A Seat at the Table: Building What’s Next for Hospitality

What happens when you bring together a room full of brilliant, curious minds from every corner of hospitality? When founders, operators, creatives, and strategists are invited to pull up a chair, leave their egos at the door, and have a real conversation about what's next?

That's the energy we found at the recent Pillars Roundtable, an event designed to cut through the noise and get to the heart of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry. Hosted at the Sloane Club, it was a space for genuine connection and fresh thinking—exactly what Pillars was made for.

The Power of the Conversation

The hospitality landscape is changing faster than ever. We're grappling with shifting customer behaviors, the rapid rise of technology, the pivotal role of sustainability, and evolving definitions of what "value" even means. Amidst this constant change, leadership has never been more important.

The roundtable, expertly led by Mike Kershaw, didn’t shy away from these tough topics. The conversation was less about easy answers and more about the power of asking the right questions. We explored a range of issues, from how customer expectations are evolving to how to move from a tick-box exercise to genuine, impactful change in sustainability. We also discussed leveraging technology without losing the human touch, the nuances of wellness, and the impact of generational trends on the industry, alongside the real responsibility of leadership in today’s world.

The unique mix of attendees meant that a challenge from one corner of the industry could be met with an unexpected insight from another. This collision of perspectives created a unique and collaborative energy.

More Than Just Networking

The Pillars Roundtable wasn't just another networking event; it was a collective desire to share honest experiences, solve challenges together, and build something better.

Pillars was founded on the idea that in a time of growing pressure, we can do more together than we can alone. The energy in the room was a testament to that belief. Every person who showed up, spoke up, and contributed helped carry the conversation forward.
